Compete at a high standard including District, National & British Events


Coaching Objectives

  • Build aerobic capacity
  • Work differing energy systems and intensities
  • Improve physical development
  • Long Course opportunities/specific program
  • Skill acquisition
  • Competition preparation
  • Tactical preparation (race plan)
  • Psychological skills
  • Qualifying times for District and National Events

Sessions available – 6 x 1.5 hour sessions 1 x 2hour session LC + 2 x Land sessions = 2.5hours (winter)

5 x 1.5 hour sessions 2 x 2hour sessions (1 LC) + 2 x Land sessions = 2.5hours (summer)



  • Attend District, National & British Meets
  • Compete for the club at events if selected
  • Attend Youth Performance core sessions and Long Course sessions
  • Show commitment to the training plan
  • Display high standards of conduct
  • Be a good role model to younger swimmers
  • Take complete ownership of the training program and your commitment to it
  • Represent the club at National, District programs, courses and training events when required to
  • Set realistic goals short and long term

Club Squad is an option should your personal circumstances change or if you no longer wish to compete. If coaches feel that not enough sessions are attended on a regular basis including mornings then you may be asked to move to Club Squad as an alternative.
